Program offers meals, activities

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County’s Northtown Branch is accepting applications for the summer Early Bird program. The program will offer children, ages 6-18, access to the Club from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer and will provide activities, two meals and a snack, and programs each day for $15 per week.

This is the pilot year for the Early Bird program, and is designed to give a positive option for children of working parents. A $25 application fee will be charged to secure a spot in the Early Bird program, which is currently limited to the first 100 paid members and includes club membership until December 2008. The program will include access to programs such as homework help, Foreign Language Club, fine arts, and athletics, and events such as talent shows and field trips. Parents may pay week to week; $10 for one to three days per week or $15 for four to five days per week, or pre-pay the entire summer for $100.
