Diamondbacks 9, Braves 3: At Atlanta, Eric Byrnes hit his first career grand slam to knock Tom Glavine out of the game and power Arizona past the Braves.
Nationals 7, Brewers 6: At Washington, Elijah Dukes scored on Guillermo Mota’s ninth-inning wild pitch, giving the Nationals a victory over Milwaukee.
Phillies 15, Astros 6: At Houston, Chase Utley and Shane Victorino drove in three runs apiece and Philadelphia hammered the Astros bullpen to get the victory over Houston.
Marlins 8-5, Giants 6-4: At Miami, Dan Uggla hit one of four homers for Florida and the Marlins got the victory in the first game of a doubleheader. Uggla then hit a bases-loaded, two-out single in the ninth inning to help Florida beat San Francisco in the second game. Bengie Molina finished 6 for 7 in the doubleheader for the Giants, driving in five runs.
Rockies 4, Mets 1: At Denver, Seth Smith hit his first major league homer, a three-run shot off John Maine to back an impressive start by Aaron Cook as Colorado beat New York.
Dodgers 4, Cardinals 3 (10): At Los Angeles, Andre Ethier singled home the winning run in the 10th inning and Luis Maza hit his first big league homer, leading the Dodgers past St. Louis.
Pirates 6, Cubs 5 (11): At Pittsburgh, Jason Bay hit a two-out line drive down the left field line in the 11th after the Pirates tied it on a dropped fly ball in the ninth to beat Chicago.
Padres 12, Reds 9 (18): At San Diego, Adrian Gonzalez hit a three-run homer with two outs in the 18th inning to give the Padres a win over Cincinnati. Ken Griffey Jr. had three hits and three runs for the Reds.
