2 West Broadway streetscape enhancement: West Broadway from Ash Street to Oak Street. Install sidewalks and street lighting and plant trees. Begin spring 2008, end spring 2008.

3 Twenty-eighth Avenue and vicinity: Pave and install curbs and sidewalks on 28th, 27th and 26th avenues from Oak Street to Chestnut Street. Begin spring 2008, end summer 2008.

4 Third Avenue and vicinity: Pave Third and Fourth avenues between Magnolia and Regal streets, and Crestline, Magnolia and Regal Streets between Third and Fifth avenues. Begin spring 2008, end summer 2008.

5 Belt Street and vicinity: Rehabilitation of streets, including a combination of grinding and overlaying the top layer of asphalt and some full-depth, curb-to-curb rehabilitation of Belt Street from Nora Avenue to Montgomery Avenue; Buell Court from Hemlock Street to Montgomery Avenue; Indiana Avenue from Hemlock Street to Ash Street; Knox Avenue from Belt Street to cul-de-sac; Mansfield Avenue from Belt Street to Elm Street; Montgomery Avenue from Nettleton Street to Belt Street; Nora Avenue from Hemlock Street to Ash Street; and Shannon Avenue from Hemlock Street to Elm Street, and replacement of a 12-inch water line. 6 Broadway Realignment from Freya Street to Myrtle Street: Realign the Broadway Avenue connection from Freya Street to Myrtle Street, moving the connection one block to the south at Alki Avenue. Begin spring 2008, end fall 2008.

7 Courtland Avenue from Thor Street to Ferrall Street: Pave and install curbs and sidewalks on Courtland Avenue from Thor Street to Ferrall Street. Begin spring 2008, end spring 2008.

8 Driscoll Boulevard from Alberta Street to Assembly Street: Rehabilitation of Driscoll Boulevard from Alberta Street to Assembly Street. The work will include grinding and overlaying and some water service work. Begin summer 2008, end fall 2008.

9 E Street from Horizon Avenue to Trinity Avenue: Pave and install curbs and sidewalks, install a 6-inch water main and 8-inch sewer line. Begin summer 2008, end fall 2008.

!0 Hatch Road from 54th Avenue to 43rd Avenue: Full-depth, curb-to-curb rehabilitation of Hatch Road from 54th Avenue to 43rd Avenue. Begin summer 2008, end fall 2008.

!1 Hough Street from Trent Avenue to end of street: Pave and install curbs and sidewalks, install a 2-inch sewer line. Begin summer 2008, end fall 2008.

!2 Maple and Ash Streets from Broadway Avenue to Northwest Boulevard: Full-depth, curb-to-curb rehabilitation of Maple and Ash Streets from Broadway Avenue to Northwest Boulevard. The intersections at Northwest Boulevard and Boone Avenue will be restored with concrete. Begin spring 2008, end fall 2008.

!3 Maple and Ash Streets from the Spokane River to Cedar Road: Install fiber optic communication systems and add new cable to traffic signals and cameras from the Maple Street Bridge to Northwest Boulevard. Begin spring 2008, end fall 2008.

!4 Miami Court from south end of cul-de-sac to Buckeye Avenue: Install a 6-inch water main and pave Miami Court from the south end of the cul-de-sac to Buckeye Avenue. Begin summer 2008, end summer 2008.

!5 Spokane Falls Boulevard from Brown Street to Washington Street: Rehabilitate curb-to-curb and install a conduit for fiber optic computer communications among city facilities. Begin spring 2008, end fall 2008.

!6 Third Avenue from Maple Street to Division Street: Install traffic monitoring cameras and fiber optic communication systems on Third Avenue from Maple Street to Division Street. Begin spring 2008, end fall 2008.

!7 Wall Street from Wellesley Avenue to Francis Avenue: Full-depth, curb-to-curb rehabilitation. The intersection at Wall Street and Wellesley Avenue will be restored with concrete. Begin spring 2008, end fall 2008.

!8 Wellesley Avenue at Belt Street signal upgrade: Upgrade traffic signals at Wellesley Avenue and Belt Street intersection. Begin summer 2008, end summer 2008.

!9 Fairchild water transmission main: Repair of Geiger Boulevard from State Route 902 to Thomas Mallon Road, and installation a new 36-inch water transmission main. Begin spring 2008, end fall 2008.

@0 West Side water transmission main: Installation of new 36-inch water transmission main. Begin summer 2008, end fall 2008.

Spokane Valley

1 Appleway Road from Tschirley Road to Hodges Road: Widen road to five lanes. Construction will include curbs, gutters, sidewalks, bike lanes, dry-line sanitary sewer and an upgraded signal and concrete intersection at Barker and Appleway. Begin March 2008, end September 2008.

2 Barker Road Bridge: Reconstruct and widen the Barker Road Bridge over the Spokane River. Begin May 2008, end December 2009.

3 Pines/Mansfield project, from Montgomery Avenue to Pines Road: Reconfigure I-90 westbound on- and off-ramps, install storm sewer pipes, drainage swales, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and bike lanes along Mansfield Avenue. The Pines and Mansfield intersection will be restored with concrete and signal improvements. A roundabout will be installed at the Montgomery-Wilbur-Mansfield intersection. Begin May 2008, end November 2008.

4 Broadway-Fancher: Reconstruct the intersection with concrete. Begin July 2008, end September 2008.

5 Sprague-Bowdish: Reconstruct the intersection with concrete. Begin August 2008, end October 2008.

6 24th Avenue reconstruction: From Sullivan Road to Vera Crest Drive and north on Vera Crest to 22nd Avenue. Reconstruct the roadway from curb to curb. Begin June 2008, end August 2008.

7 Sprague/Conklin Signal: Construct new traffic signal. Begin July 2008, end November 2008.

Spokane County sewer projects

1 Westwood sewer project: Installation of sanitary sewers in the area west of Hatch Road and east of Highway 395, south of Trevor Street and north of Silver Pines Court. The Scot’s Glen cul-de-sac is also included. Begin July 2008, end October 2008.

2 Pinery sewer project: Installation of sanitary sewers in the area bounded by Farwell Road to the south and Winger Road to the north, from Pittsburg Street to U.S. Highway 2. Begin July 2008, end October 2008.

3 Grandview Acres sewer project: Continuation of a 2007 project that will affect the area north of Fairview Avenue, south of Trent Avenue and west of Pines Road. Begin March 2008, end June 2008.

4 Trentwood Avenue sewer project: Continuation of a 2007 project that will affect the area north of Trent Avenue, south of Wellesley Avenue, east of Vercler Road and west of Evergreen Road. Begin March 2008, end June 2008.

5 Spalding’s sewer project: Involves a portion of Indiana Avenue west of its intersection with MontgomeryDrive. Begin June 2008, end August 2008.

6 Rockwell sewer project: Installation of sanitary sewers in the area north of Trent Avenue, south of Wabash Avenue, east of Avalon Road and west of Adams Road. Begin June 2008, end October 2008.

7 Summerfield sewer project: Installation of sanitary sewers in the area north of Trent Avenue, south of Wabash Avenue, east of Adams Road and west of Sullivan Road. Begin May 2008, end October 2008.

8 Sutters sewer project: Installation of sanitary sewers in the area north of 16th Avenue, south of Eighth Avenue, east of Evergreen Road and west of Progress Road. Begin May 2008, end September 2008.

9 White Birch Sewer Project: Installation of sanitary sewers in the area north of Sixth Avenue, south of Interstate 90, east of Sullivan Road and west of Flora Road. Begin June 2008, end October 2008.

Washington Department of Transportation

1 U.S. Highway 2/Deep Creek Bridge: Install steel guardrails, repair bridge approach slabs, plane and repave the surface with hot mix asphalt. Begin spring 2008, end fall 2008.

2 Division Street, from North Foothills Drive to Houston Avenue: Install a fiber optic line for “intelligent transportation system” equipment such as cameras, message signs, traffic volume measuring equipment and traffic advisory radio stations. Now in progress, end summer 2008.

3 Interstate 90/Latah Creek and Lindeke Street bridges: Upgrade guardrails. Completed.

4 State Route 290/Starr Road intersection: Add a right-turn lane from westbound State Route 290 to northbound Starr Road. Now in progress, end summer 2008.

5 North Spokane Freeway – U.S. Highway 395/BNSF Railroad: The freeway will cross over the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe railroad track just northeast of Spokane. A 1,300-foot tunnel for the railroad is under construction and expected to be completed by fall 2009.

6 North Spokane Freeway – U.S. Highway 395 from Freya Street to Farwell Road: A concrete surface will be applied to the graded portion of the freeway from Freya Street and Francis Avenue to Farwell Road. Now in progress, end late 2008.

7 North Spokane Freeway – U.S. Highway 395 from Freya to Fairview Road: Grade roadway in preparation for paving, and build two bridges for the freeway, crossing Lincoln and Gerlach roads. Now in progress, end in fall 2008.

8 North Spokane Freeway: Six bridges are under construction at Fairview Road, Market Street, Parksmith Road, Perry Road, and two at Shady Slope Road for the freeway project. Now in progress, end in mid-2008.

9 State Route 902/Medical Lake Interchange: Extend the right-turn lane on the westbound off-ramp and upgrade the turn radius on the north side of the intersection. Begin summer 2008, end fall 2008.

!0 Intersection improvements: Add left-turn lanes on U.S. Highway 395 at the intersections of North Dragoon Creek Road and South Dragoon Creek Road.

!1 Bradshaw Road on U.S. 195 (milepost 76). Add left-turn lanes on U.S. Highway 195 at intersection with Bradshaw Road. Begin spring 2008, end summer 2008.
