Handle on Business: Wachovia Securities moving to RiverView Tower
RiverView Tower is a prime case of the real estate adage of “location, location, location” done right. Actually, it’s much more than that. It’s the building being done right by the right people in the special location.
This five-level, 46,203-square-foot glass-and-brick showcase at 2100 Northwest Boulevard looks from above the thoroughfare to Lake Coeur d’Alene and the outlet to the Spokane River to the southeast and over the Riverstone development and down the river to the northwest. Even the uphill, nonview side is done right as treed open space separates it from the neighbors. But every occupant will look toward the view.
John Eixenberger of Coeur d’Alene is the architect.
The location also is handy to the freeway, the Ironwood medical region, Riverstone, North Idaho College and downtown Coeur d’Alene. Several occupants are taking advantage of all this.
Wachovia Securities, formerly A.G. Edwards in Coeur d’Alene, is moving from 202 Sherman Ave., into 3,753 square feet of the first floor (indoor parking is down one level) this weekend. The 13-person group includes financial advisers and their staff. Blue Cross Insurance opened in 2,340 square feet in February.
CML Specialties moved into 1,442 square feet from 105 N. Fourth St., in March. The CML stands for Certified Master Locks. In Coeur d’Alene since 1987, CML supplies and installs detention hardware, or as spokeswoman Peggy Polumsky explains, “jail cells.” The company has three employees in the office and 40 in the field, all over the western U.S.
The center of the first floor has a conference room with complete electronic amenities and a large deck overlooking the view (as do the other first-floor occupants). The conference room may be used by any building occupants.
Tenants on the second floor are Wells Fargo Wealth Management, which opened in January in 5,374 square feet, and attorney Mike Chapman, who will open Chapman Law Office in July. Spaces of 720 and 1,442 square feet remain available.
The third floor comprises condominium spaces ranging from 692 to almost 5,000 square feet. Fulcrum Investments will move there from 1801 Government Way in late June. The Jack Hebner company, with four brokers, is a full-service investment firm. It will have an open house July 10.
The fourth floor is owned and occupied by Magnuson McHugh CPAs.
Back to open houses. Parkwood Business Properties will host an open house for potential RiverView Tower occupants from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. June 19. Contact Ryan Nipp of Parkwood at 667-4086 or Jim Koon of Century 21 Beutler and Associates at 765-5554. Check www.riverviewtower.net.

Home furnishings and décor “that give the house character” are the specialty of Cy’an Blue, which celebrates its grand opening 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and noon to 5 Sunday at 10632 Government Way, Hayden.

Look for new, used and recycled items, stained glass, metal art, gifts and espresso products (including by the cup). The 2,100-square-foot business includes a showroom and workshop. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Phone 772-2365.

With 2,300 square feet there, Pinnacle specializes in treating neck and back pain, upper and lower extremity pain, sports medicine and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation.
