‘Report card’ fails

The Spokesman-Review

We all know the state of football in the Northwest this year is bleak. Thank God I have my local high school team (Central Valley Bears) to cheer for. I guess this year everybody is looking for the silver lining, but your Cougars report card has become absurd.

It was bad enough that when the Cougars were getting routed by 60 points they were receiving a “D” grade on their report card. (How is that not an “F”?) But in your latest edition, when you graded the Cougars a “C” after a 59-28 defeat to Arizona, you blew any credibility you had left.

Apparently, the state of Cougars football has fallen so low you are now giving them a “C,” or average grade, for a 31-point home defeat to a middle-of-the-pack conference team. Thankfully, our schools haven’t adopted your low standards.
