Better press for Chiefs

The Spokesman-Review

Spokane has the defending champion Chiefs, who are favored (by the Canadians anyway) to make it back to the Memorial Cup, and where are the scores to their game (Nov. 14)? Page 4. Are you kidding me?

No, the front page has WSU soccer? Didn’t even know they played. Perhaps Spokane has a curling team that could get better press.

Thank you, Spokane Chiefs, for the entertaining hockey the last two years. Too bad the rest of Spokane will never read about it as the Spokesman slaps ’em on the bottom of the fourth page.

The local boy, Tyler Johnson, scores the winner and the Chiefs still don’t break Page 3.
