Scoop Reporter was spotted hiding among advertisements in last week’s Voices by the following six winners who are this week’s Honorary Cub Reporters and are eligible to receive free ice cream. This was the last week of the contest.

Fall events at neighborhood center
The Edgecliff Neighborhood Center is opening for the fall on Monday. An after-school program for students in grades K-8 will be open Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. There are homework assistants, computers, games and classes available.
Activities for adults include quilting Tuesday nights from 7 to 9 p.m., a computer class Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. and women’s exercise classes on Mondays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. The first Friday of each month is open gym night for youth and adults from 7to 9 p.m.

Forum on Native American program
The community is invited to the annual forum for the Spokane Valley Native American Program on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Central Valley Early Learning Center, 10304 E. Ninth Ave.
The program offers services to Native American students in the Central Valley, East Valley, Freeman and West Valley school districts. There will be activities for children during the forum and refreshments will be served. Call 228-5832 for more information.

TAC presents ‘Rip Van Winkle’
Theater Arts for Children’s production of “Rip Van Winkle” will have its opening performance Friday at 7 p.m.
The show will run through Oct. 19. Performances Oct. 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 will be at 7 p.m.; the Oct. 5, 12, and 19 performances will be at 2 p.m. The theater is at 10814 E. Broadway Ave.
Tickets are $7 for ages 13 and older. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5. Tickets can be purchased at www.TicketsWest.com or at the door.
Theater Arts is holding auditions for “Christmas Every Day” on Oct. 12 and Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
