Parks department offers classes

CHENEY – The Cheney Parks and Recreation Department is offering the following fall classes:

Youth basketball league

Divisions K-6th: League dates: Nov. 3 - Feb. 21; Saturday games, 1 day per week practice; resident $48, nonresident $50; registration deadline Oct. 17; looking for volunteer coaches.

Slow break basketball

MAC (Medical Lake, Airway Heights and Cheney); league dates: Oct. 13 – Dec. 10; games played on Monday and Wednesday evenings in Medical Lake, Airway Heights and Cheney; open to all adults 18+; $375 per team (average $32 per player); payment plans available.

Preschool classes

Mom & Me Tumbling; walking to 4 years; Tuesday’s 9-9:30 a.m.; monthly fee $11 residents, $13 nonresident.

Tumbling Tots: 3-6 years; Tuesday’s 10:30-11:30 a.m.; monthly fee $22 resident, $24 nonresident.

Open Playgroup walking to 5 years; Thursdays 9:30-10:30 a.m.; monthly fee $22 resident, $24 nonresident.

Busy Bees walking to 5 years; Thursdays 10:30-11:30 a.m.; monthly fee $22 resident, $24 nonresident.

Baby Ballet walking to 3 years; Thursdays 9-9:30 a.m.; monthly fee $11 residents, $13 nonresident

Ballet classes

Preschool Ballet: 3-5 years, Thursdays 4:30- 5 p.m.; monthly fee $18 resident, $20 nonresident.

Intro-Combo Ballet & Tap: 3-5 years; Thursdays 4-4:30 p.m. or 5-5:30 p.m.; monthly fee $18 resident, $20 nonresident.

Ballet 1: ages 6-10; Thursday’s 5:45-6:45 p.m. Oct. 23-Dec. 4; $44 resident, $46 nonresident.

Jazz/Hip Hop classes

Ages 9-13: Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct 21-Dec 2; residents $44, nonresident $46.

Ages 14 and up: Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 21-Dec. 2; residents $44, nonresident $46.

Beginning East Coast Swing class

Ages 14 and up: Tuesdays Oct. 14-Nov. 11; residents $40, nonresidents $42.

AM Cardio Strength class

Ages 16 and up: Tuesday and Thursdays, 9:30-10:30 a.m., $32 resident, $34 nonresident.

AM Cardio Strength and Open Playtime!

Drop your children off while you work out; resident $42, nonresident $44.

Start Smart Multi-Sport class

Ages 3-4.5: Oct. 22-Dec. 3 Wednesdays 5:15-6 p.m.; resident $27, nonresident $29.

Ages 4.5 -5: Oct. 22-Dec. 3 Wednesdays 6:15-7 p.m.; resident $27, nonresident $29.

Ages 6-13: Oct. 23-Dec. 4 Thursdays 6:45-7:45 p.m.; resident $44, nonresident $46.

Ages 14 and up: Oct. 22-Dec. 3 Wednesdays 7-8 p.m.; resident $44, nonresident $46.

Halloween Haunted House

Ages 13 and up at the Cheney Outdoor Pool. Oct. 24-25 7-11 p.m.; $3 per person.

Babysitting Basics

Ages 10-15: Nov. 8, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., resident $40, nonresident $42.

Jazzercise

Ages 15 and up: offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:30-6:30 p.m.; two-month unlimited $86 or $36 per month; electronic fund transfer.
