St. Charles School plans harvest fest

The St. Charles Catholic Parish and School, 4515 N. Alberta St., will hold its annual celebration Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The harvest festival will include a quilt raffle, a school carnival, bier garten and an adults-only barn dance.

Youth issues focus of candidates forum

The Chase Youth Commission’s annual Youth Issues Candidates Forum will be on Oct. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Spokane City Council Chambers at Spokane City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. Community youth and adults are invited to attend.

This forum provides an opportunity to question candidates about issues affecting youth in Spokane, listen to candidates’ responses and ideas, learn how the voting process works and vote for the candidates of their choice.

Questions may still be submitted; however, they need to be screened by the Youth Issues Forum committee. Submit questions by e-mailing chaseyouthcommission@ spokanecity.org, or by mailing them to the Chase Youth Commission, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., Spokane, WA 99201.
