Cusick wins showdown against ACH
Spencer Shanholtzer threw for three touchdowns and Dustin Villegas ran for two, both in the fourth quarter, as top-ranked Cusick defeated defending state champion Almira/Coulee-Hartine in a Northeast 1B showdown in Coulee City Friday night.
The Warriors (4-1, 4-1) had an astounding 14 fumbles, losing seven, before getting a pair of fourth-quarter scores after falling behind the Panthers (5-0, 5-0) 22-0. Shanholtzer hit 8 of 12 passes for 141 yards, connecting with Villegas for a 58-yarder in the first quarter and Tyler Edwards for TDs in the middle quarters.
Columbia 72, Sprague-Harrington 22: In Sprague, tight end-turned-running back Eli Bear rushed for three scores and added another on a reception as the Lions beat the Falcons, who got 110 yards and two TDs from sophomore Nick Sperline.
Odessa 46, Wellpinit 0: Ryan King passed for two touchdowns and ran for two as the visiting Tigers beat the Indians.
Wilbur-Creston 62, Curlew 28: Cody Stephens only carried the ball nine times but collected 326 yards and four TDs as the Wildcats, who also got 133 yards and three TDs on eight tries from Hayden Herdrick, raced past the visiting Cougars.
Inchelium 48, Pateros 26: The Hornets (3-2, 3-2), down 26-0, got a late first-half 51-yard TD from Tony Louie, then blitzed the visiting Billygoats (2-3, 2-3) in the second half, led by Louie’s two TD passes to Michael Smith in the fourth quarter.

Clarkston 12, Deer Park 7: For the second week in a row the Bantams (2-3, 2-0) knocked off an unbeaten league foe, this time edging the Stags (4-1, 1-1) in Deer Park as Nick Rimmelspacher returned an interception 43 yards for a TD.
Colville 42, Medical Lake 7: At Medical Lake, the Indians (4-1, 2-0) capped a 21-point first quarter with their only pass completion, a 27-yard scoring strike from Sawyer Bardwell to Austin Pete, in whipping the Cardinals (0-4, 0-2).
Pullman 45, Cheney 13: The Greyhounds (3-2, 1-1) got three touchdowns and 129 yards from Jared Byers and 106 yards and two scores from Cody Weber to dump the Blackhawks (3-2, 1-1) in Cheney.
Intermountain League
Kellogg 28, St. Maries 0: Michael Marion ran for 104 yards and a TD and Kyle Kenser connected with Jordan Cochran for a pair of fourth-quarter TDs as the Wildcats blanked host St. Maries.
Priest River 12, Bonners Ferry 6: Wayde Rabidue’s 3-yard TD run in the third quarter was the difference as the visiting Spartans beat the Badgers.
Orofino 49, Timberlake 33: Michael Welch threw for 217 yards and three long TDs, plus ran for another, as the Maniacs topped the host Tigers in Spirit Lake. John Morris had 121 yards and four TDs for Timberlake but was trumped by Beau Brooks of Orofino, who scored the last two TDs.

Freeman 40, Newport 0: At Newport, Tanner Laib ran for 185 yards and two scores and Luke Mathews threw for three more as the Scotties (3-1, 1-0) rolled past the Grizzlies (0-4, 0-2).
Lakeside 31, Kettle Falls 7: Brady Blankort ran for one touchdown and passed for another as the Eagles (3-2, 1-0) pulled away from the Bulldogs (1-4, 1-1) in Kettle Falls.

Lind-Ritzville 33, Republic 7: Nolan Miller ran for 107 yards and three TDs and the defense allowed less than 100 yards as the Broncos (2-2, 1-1) blitzed the Tigers (1-2, 1-1) in Ritzville.
Springdale 18, Selkirk 14: At Ione, the visiting Chargers capitalized on a penalty to help set up Casey Pardun’s game-win touchdown run with 8 minutes left against the Rangers, who reached the 8 but couldn’t punch in the winner.
Colfax 41, Davenport 14: The Bulldogs’ (4-0, 2-0) defense got scores from Austin Neu and Ryan Conrad and freshman Alvin Li ran for 112 yards against the visiting Gorillas (1-2, 0-1).

Garfield-Palouse 18, Waitsburg-Prescott 14: Jordan Palmer was 12 of 20 for 136 yards and two touchdowns but it was Gavin Burt, who hit 5 of 8 for 65 yards, who threw the winner, hitting Nick Cocking with 2:20 to go in the game.
Asotin 48, Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia 22: The visiting Panthers (4-1, 2-0) jumped out to a 41-0 lead at halftime against the Nighthawks (0-3, 0-2).

LaCrosse-Washtucna 56, Colton/Pullman Christian 6: Garrett Blauert had 242 yards of the visiting Tigercats’ (5-0, 1-0) more than 300 rushing yards, scoring three TDs and adding two on receptions against the Wildcats (3-2, 1-1).

Kootenai 54, Lakeside: Ben Shannon got the Warriors (6-0, 5-0) off to quick start with a pair of first-quarter touchdowns against the host Knights (2-4, 2-3) in Plummer.

West Valley 21, Lakeland 6: Drew Clausen threw two touchdown passes in the first quarter and Kingston Simon broke off a 67-yard scoring run in the second as the Eagles (3-1) turned back the visiting Hawks (1-4).
Coeur d’Alene 27, Caldwell 7: J.J. Turbin threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns, two in the fourth quarter, as the Vikings (2-3) pulled away from the Cougars in Caldwell.
Chewelah 27, Riverside 14: Russell Whitley returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown and added a 4-yard run as the visiting Cougars (2-2) topped the Rams (2-3).
Lewiston 43, Sandpoint 28: Joey Walton carried 23 times for 193 yards and three touchdowns to highlight the Bengals’ (5-0) win over the visiting Bulldogs (3-3), who were led by Ben Fisher’s 129 yards and two TDs.
