Candidates forum focuses on youth
The Chase Youth Commission’s annual Youth Issues Candidates Forum will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Spokane City Council Chambers at Spokane City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. Community youths and adults are invited to attend.
This forum provides an opportunity to question candidates about issues affecting youths in Spokane, listen to candidates’ responses and ideas, learn how the voting process works and vote for the candidates of their choice.
Questions may still be submitted; however, they need to be screened by the Youth Issues Forum committee. Submit questions by e-mailing chaseyouthcommission@ spokanecity.org, or by mailing them to the Chase Youth Commission, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., Spokane, WA 99201.

Ferris High holding annual craft fair
The 16th annual Ferris High School Craft Fair will Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Ferris cafeteria.
The fair includes handmade crafts, a bake sale and more.
Admission is $1 and buys a raffle ticket.
Proceeds benefit the Class of 2009 FHS Senior All-Nighter.

Travel writer will visit senior center
Linda Hagen-Miller, author of “Tales of a Travel Writer” will visit the Southside Senior Center, 3151 E. 27th Ave., on Tuesday to highlight her book at the “Fall Harvest of Travel” luncheon at noon.
The luncheon will be created by Arbor Crest head chef Dan Lynch.
Tickets are $6 and reservations are requested.

Annual Holiday Fair set for Nov. 15
The Southside Senior Center and the Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council will host the third annual Holiday Fair on Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Southside Senior Center, 3151 E. 27th.
