Civic Theatre holding auditions
Spokane Civic Theatre, 1020 N. Howard St., will hold auditions for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” on Monday and Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m.
Auditions for roles include 13 men, from ages 18 to 65, and four women, 18 to 45.
Participants will be expected to do cold readings from the script.
If needed, callbacks will be on Wednesday.

Grand opening features petting zoo
Aslin Finch will have a grand opening on Saturday at 5605 E. Sprague Ave., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will include an adoption booth by the Spokane Humane Society, a petting zoo, pony rides and more.
A portion of proceeds of every bag of pet food sold will be donated to the Human Society.
Post Falls
Portrayal recounts movement west
Janet Worthington, an adjunct professor at Boise State University, will portray Laura Ingalls Wilder: “Moving West,” from “Little House on the Prairie,” next Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Post Falls Library.
Worthington will recount the movement westward and her father’s desire to find new lands.
The free event is sponsored by the Post Falls Library and Idaho Humanities Council.
