Spokane Valley
Police seek help solving robbery
A male described as “very young,” perhaps 15 or 16, robbed a coffee stand employee at gunpoint about 6:10 p.m. Saturday, said Spokane Valley police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.
The armed robbery occurred at Wake Up Inc., 1703 S. Dishman-Mica Road.
An employee told officers that the robber confronted her and demanded cash from the till. He pulled a small black handgun from his waistband and brandished it at her.
The teen then grabbed the tip jar and ran from the business southbound. He was last seen running east on 19th Avenue.
The employee described the robber as 5-foot-10, dark skinned and skinny. She said he wore a gray hooded sweat shirt that he had pulled up over his lower face and baggy tan shorts.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Spokane Valley police at 242-TIPS.
