Bobcats retain Morrison
The Charlotte Bobcats retained former first-round picks Adam Morrison and Jared Dudley on Wednesday.
The team exercised the options in the contracts for the 2009-10 season, meaning Morrison, the former Gonzaga University standout, will make about $4.4 million in the final year of his rookie contract.
Morrison was the third overall pick in the 2006 draft and is working his way back from major knee surgery that kept him out all last season.

Wallace will split with Frye
The Seattle Seahawks are being forced to do the splits at quarterback.
Backup quarterback Seneca Wallace returned to the field after missing almost all of last week with a calf injury.
Coach Mike Holmgren said he will split time this week with third-stringer Charlie Frye. If Wallace’s calf holds up through that, he will start for Seattle (1-4) on Sunday night at Tampa Bay (4-2).
Starter Matt Hasselbeck was in Los Angeles to get a second opinion on his knee injury.
A doctor there said the months-old bulging disk the three-time Pro Bowler has had in his back is weakening his knee. Hasselbeck will miss his second consecutive game Sunday.
Safety Deon Grant is back after sustaining a knee injury in last weekend’s loss to Green Bay.
The defensive co-captain is expected to start against the Buccaneers.
