Haunted house, kids’ event planned on Halloween

Billie Martin

On Oct. 31, the Elk Music Association will again bring the haunted house to Elk Community Park, but with a little twist.

This one is more adult-oriented and not for the faint of heart. Additional actors and extras are still welcome.

For information or to make a donation, call Ricki at 292-2996. The haunted house fee is $5, with proceeds going to the Elk Music Association to bring more music to the park and the community.

Also on Halloween night, there will be a Kids Safe Halloween Party in the downstairs activity room of the Elk Veterans of Foreign Wars. The Elk VFW Ladies Auxiliary sponsors and coordinates the event with co-sponsorships from the Elk VFW Post and Men’s Auxiliary.

There will be games, prizes and treats. Put on your costumes and bring your goodie bags. There will be complementary hot dogs, chips and juice, so you don’t have to worry about the kids getting some nutrition along with all those treats. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Festivities will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

If you or your organization or business would like to set up a game or make a donation, please call the Elk Sentinel at 292-8250.
