Swap, shop for formals at CHS today

Shopping for prom dresses and formals is a rite of passage in high school. But as prices continue to rise, and labels are as important as what your hair looks like on the night of the big dance, those fancy dresses can get pretty spendy.

The girls at Coeur d’Alene High School have an opportunity to find the perfect dress for a perfect price at Your Next Best Dress, held at the High School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

Gently used formal and semiformal dance and party-style dresses will be available to trade or sell at reduced prices.

Admission is $3.

The 18th annual Craft Faire and Gift Show also will be today at Coeur d’Alene High School, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the high school gym and commons.

The event’s proceeds will support the Renaissance program for the school, the teacher’s minigrants and senior scholarships.

Admission is $1.

For more information about today’s events, call 667-4507.
