By Healthy Exchanges King Features Syndicate

A great “out of the oven” warm treat to share with friends.

Quick Oat Kolaches

1  3/4 cups Bisquick Heart Smart Baking Mix

6 tablespoons I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! Light Margarine

1 cup Quick Quaker Oats

1/4 cup Splenda Granular

1/4 cup fat-free milk

1 egg, or equivalent in egg substitute

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup spreadable fruit (any flavor)

Preheat oven to 400 F. Spray a large baking sheet with butter-flavored cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine baking mix and margarine. Stir in oats and Splenda. In a small bowl, combine milk, egg and vanilla extract. Add milk mixture to baking mix mixture. Mix just until combined.

Place mixture on a large piece of waxed paper and knead lightly until smooth. Roll dough 1/2 -inch thick and cut into 12 (3-inch) rounds. Place rounds on prepared baking sheet. Make an indentation in center of each and spoon 1 teaspoon spreadable fruit into indentation. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Place baking sheet on a wire rack and allow kolaches to cool. Serves 12.
