Scoop contest winners named

Scoop Reporter was spotted hiding among advertisements in last week’s Voices by the following seven winners, who are this week’s Honorary Cub Reporters and are eligible to receive free ice cream.

Congratulations to:

•Katelyn Bumbeck, 5, who attends Assumption School and is the daughter of Lisa Bumbeck. Katelyn spotted Scoop hiding on page 9 of the North Side Voice.

•Emily Meyers, 9, asked her mom, Jan Myers, to wake her up at 6:30 a.m. so she could run out and get the paper to find Scoop. Find him she did, on page 12 of the Valley Voice. Emily attends Ponderosa Elementary School.

•Jessi Wood, 11, a Hallet Elementary School student in Medical Lake, whose mom is Janiece Dallmann, found Scoop on page 7 of the West Plains Voice.

•Christopher Coles, 11, found Scoop on page 11 of the South Side Voice. He attends Hamblen Elementary and is the son of Michelle Klein.

•Tyler Siegford, 10, who attends Betty Keifer Elementary in Rathdrum, Idaho, found Scoop on page 4 of the Prairie Voice. His mom is Corrie Siegford.

•Michaela Honner, 11, who attends Lake City Junior Academy in Coeur d’Alene and is the daughter of Ron and Margo Honner, spotted Scoop in last Saturday’s Handle Extra.

•Peter Bautista, 10, a Greenacres Elementary School student, found Scoop hiding in last Saturday’s Valley Voice. He is the son of Lualhati Bautista.

Coolin Bay

Wine tasting planned at Entree

The Entree Gallery at Coolin Bay, 379 Bay View Road, will host a special wine tasting reception on next Saturday for photographer Dann Hall from 5 to 7 p.m.

His work will feature his father Ross Hall’s collection and will be on display at the The Entree Gallery and also at the Gallery at Reeder Bay, 1755 Reeder Bay Road in Nordman, through mid-October.

Ross Hall, a contemporary of Ansel Adams, received national recognition for his black and white photographs. The photos recorded the early days of Priest Lake and the development of the local logging industry.
