Missing climber found dead

A Seattle climber was found dead in the Goat Wall area at the western end of the Methow Valley on Monday. Ryan Allen Murray Triplett, 31, was reported missing by his family around 1 p.m. because he was overdue to return from a hiking trip in the Mazama area.

According to Okanogan Sheriff Frank Rogers, Triplett’s body was found around 2:30 p.m. in a rocky area known as Prime Rib.

It appears that Triplett had been climbing alone and fallen, possibly on Sunday.
