A 54-year-old Spokane County man died overnight in a one-car vehicle accident on Palouse Highway near Sands Road, south of Spokane.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, was southbound in a BMW on Palouse Highway when he failed to make a curve in the road, said Sgt. Dave Reagan of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. He went off the left side of the road and the car rolled five times.
The accident happened sometime after midnight and 6 a.m. today, when sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. It was clear the driver had been deceased for some time, Reagan said.
He added that speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the accident
