Signs Former Spokane Chiefs defenseman Trevor Glass has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League. Glass just finished a five-year career in the Western Hockey League. The Chiefs acquired him from Medicine Hat in January 2008. Glass joins the Wolf Pack in their playoff run.

Surgery Boston Bruins defenseman Matt Hunwick had his spleen removed but has not been ruled out of the NHL playoffs. The surgery was done Saturday afternoon, about 2 1/2 hours after Hunwick felt increased pain while the team was together for its morning skate before that night’s second game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Hitched The score is love in tennis these days: Now Andy Roddick is married, too, a week after Roger Federer tied the knot. Roddick, the 2003 U.S. Open champion, and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker became husband and wife at his Austin, Texas, home, a guest at the wedding told the Associated Press.

Agree Running back Dominic Rhodes agreed to a two-year contact with the Bills, giving Buffalo an established starter while Marshawn Lynch opens next season serving a three-game suspension. Rhodes is an eight-year veteran who became a free agent this offseason after spending last year with Indianapolis. The NFL suspended Lynch without pay for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
