Name misspelled
Because of a photographer’s error, Dan Valiz’s name was misspelled in a photo caption in Sunday’s Business section.
Defendants dismissed
Stevens County Sheriff Craig Thayer and two deputies have been dismissed as defendants in a lawsuit brought by a custodian at Lakeside High School who cleaned up after a student’s suicide. A story Wednesday named the three as defendants.
Winner’s name incorrect
Zachary Zappone, a student at North Central High School, won a $3,000 scholarship in the social studies category at the Spokane Scholars Foundation annual awards ceremony April 20. His name was incorrect in a story last Tuesday because of incorrect information provided to the newspaper.
