Number of criminal counts misstated

A recent Washington Supreme Court ruling dictates that suspects in child pornography cases face just one charge per possession, not multiple counts based on the number of images, according to Deputy Spokane County Prosecutor Ed Hay. Because of that, former Spokesman-Review employee Zachary L. Likarich pleaded guilty to one count of child pornography possession, although he initially was charged with multiple counts. A brief Tuesday contained erroneous information about the number of counts.
