Colbert’s Bezdicek advances

Sierra Bezdicek of Colbert, Wash., defeated third-seeded Morgan Thompson of Tualatin, Ore., 4 and 3 on Tuesday to advance to the quarterfinals of the Pacific Northwest Golf Association Junior Girls Amateur Championship at Fairwood Golf and Country Club in Renton, Wash.

Next up for the 14th-seeded Bezdicek is Kristen Rue of Gig Harbor, Wash. Rue, a sixth seed, defeated 11th-seeded Rachel Choi of Mukilteo, Wash., 3 and 2.

Idaho Vandals guard Mike Iupati was named to the Rotary Lombardi Watch List, from which the nation’s top lineman will be chosen.

The list includes 153 players from 79 colleges and 11 conferences.
