Religion notebook: Church offers Celtic service

St. David’s Episcopal Church, 7315 N. Wall St., will hold a Celtic Creation Celebration today at 7 p.m.

This month’s theme is “The Web of Life” and will include Native American and Celtic components. A potluck reception will follow the service.

Back-to-school carnival

St. Patrick Catholic School, 2706 E. Queen St., will present its annual family back-to-school carnival Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the school parking lot.

The event will feature games, food vendors, balloons, face painting and a school uniform exchange. There also will be a preschool and kindergarten open house from 5 to 5:45 p.m.

Movie night

Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church, 4449 N. Nevada St., will show an outdoor movie, “Finding Nemo,” on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Free snacks will be served, and the movie will be shown inside if it rains.
