Drive-by shooting in northwest Spokane injures man
A man in his 20s was shot in the stomach early today in a northwest Spokane drive-by shooting that witnesses told police was unprovoked.
The man, who was not identified, was taken to Deaconess Medical Center following the 2:30 a.m. incident.
Spokane police said a group was drinking alcohol in the 2100 block of West Maxwell Avenue when a white SUV drove by and fired multiple rounds at them. The vehicle fled north on Belt Street.
