Fight in alley leaves man, 60, unconscious

A 60-year-old Spokane man was injured Sunday during a fight in a West Central alley, Spokane police said.

Officers found the victim unconscious with facial injuries about 10:30 p.m. in the alley west of Nettleton Street near Bridge Avenue.

The man was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police did not update his condition Monday.

Police said the motive for the assault was unknown.

They hadn’t determined whether any weapons were involved.
