CdA slips past Knights

Coeur d’Alene broke open a tight game by outscoring East Valley 21-10 in the third quarter Saturday as the visiting Vikings prevailed 59-50 in a non-league game.

Devon Austin had a team-high 13 points to go with eight rebounds, while Connor Williams had 10 rebounds for the Vikings (5-1). Ronnie Jarvis led EV (0-6) with 15 points.

Non-league

Chewelah 68, Colville 35: The Cougars (6-2) used six 3-pointers in the first quarter to double up the visiting Indians (1-3) 28-14 on their way to the easy victory. Dallas Garner led Chewelah with 24 points and Josh Christian had 19 to go with seven rebounds. Andrew Walsh led Colville with 10 points.

Coeur d’Alene Charter 56, Kootenai 44: Bob Schrack had 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Panthers (6-2) past the visiting Warriors (4-4). Jacob Zarpentine led Kootenai with 22 points.

Odessa 49, Valley Christian 44: The visiting Tigers (4-4) made a 21-13 start stand up over the Panthers (1-4). Tyler Tipke led VC with 14 points.

Panorama League

Inchelium 56, Columbia 31: The Hornets (5-3, 3-2) shot well as they cruised past the visiting Lions (1-8, 1-4). Tony Louis led Inchelium with 18 points and Brandon Kohler added 15. Dominic Marquez led Columbia with 14.

Republic 47, Northport 31: Clay Anderson and Tyler Haswell led the Tigers (5-2, 2-2) with 14 points apiece as they won at Northport (2-6, 0-5). Philip Johnson led the Mustangs with 11.

Selkirk 58, Curlew 23:: Zach Jensen scored 23 as the Rangers (6-3, 4-1) handled the Cougars (0-7, 0-4) at Curlew.

St. George’s 82, St. Michael’s 45: The Dragons (4-2, 3-0) raced to a 46-22 halftime lead and were never threatened. St. Michael’s (1-4, 1-4) committed 30 turnovers. Karl Muelheims had a game-high 22 points.

North Star League

Wallace 64, Lakeside 38: The Miners (3-5, 1-0) ran all over the visiting Knights (3-4, 0-1) early and often. Dylan Hill led Wallace with 18 points and six steals. Lamont Higgins led Lakeside with 12 points.

District 9 2B

Pomeroy 53, Tekoa-Oakesdale 51: Justin Ruark made the winning free throws as the Pirates (3-3, 1-0) topped the visiting Nighthawks (2-4, 1-1). Ruark finished with a game-high 19 points. Earl Gaines led T-O with 15.

District 9 1B

Rosalia 62, Touchet 28: The Spartans (7-0, 3-0) outrebounded the Indians 27-12 to secure the win. Jim Maley led Rosalia with 18 points.

Bi-County League 2B

Davenport 57, Reardan 41: Jarod Gunning had 13 points, seven steals and seven assists to lead the Gorillas (6-0, 2-0) past the visiting Indians (2-3, 0-2). Jake Hight led Reardan with 16 points.

Northwest Christian 68, Liberty 39: Cole Ramey had a game-high 24 as the Crusaders (5-2, 1-0) had no difficulty with the visiting Lancers (0-5, 0-2). Stefan Plesser led Liberty with 10.

Lind-Ritzville 68, Colfax 64: The Broncos (4-1, 2-0) trailed 35-17 at halftime, but rallied past the visiting Bulldogs (2-1, 1-1). James Stevenson hit a 3-pointer with just more than 2 minutes to play that put the Broncos ahead 60-59. He finished with 19. James Robinson led Colfax with 19.

Bi-County League 1B

Wilbur-Creston 56, Sprague-Harrington 40: Austin Snavely had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Wildcats (7-0, 1-0) past the visiting Falcons (1-6, 0-1). The Wildcats outrebounded the Falcons 34-20. Justin Clouse led S-H with 13 points.

Priest River tourney

Priest River 67, Cusick 36: Four Spartans (5-1) scored in double figures in the easy win over the visiting Panthers (5-1). Eric Holbrook led PR with 16 points and six assists. Spencer Shanholtzer led Cusick with 14 points.

Lake Roosevelt tourney

Lake Roosevelt 66, Wellpinit 47: Cade Egbert had 16 points as the Raiders topped the Redskins (6-2) in the final at Coulee Dam. Cody Flett led Wellpinit with 16.
