Spokane man killed in Highway 195 crash
A two-car crash six miles south of Spokane Monday killed a 57-year-old man.
Nickolas L. Leitz died when he tried crossing Highway 195 from Mullen Hill Road in a 1995 Subaru and was struck in the southbound lane by a 1998 Dodge pickup towing a flat-bed trailer, according to Washington State Patrol.
The pickup’s driver, Wendall K. Antell, 41, was taken to a hospital with minor injures. Leitz was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which was reported at 12:14 p.m.
The road was partially blocked for about three hours.
