“South to Alaska” Slide Presentation and Book Signing - Priest River, Idaho, author Nancy Owens Barnes will hold two slide presentations and discuss her book, “South to Alaska,” at the Spokane National Boat Show. South to Alaska is the story of Barnes’ father, who built a 47-foot boat in his backyard and cruised it 10,000 miles to Alaska by way of the Panama Canal in 1973. Barnes’ slide shows will take place on Saturdays, Jan. 31 and Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. A book signing will follow each presentation from 2-6 p.m. at the Expert Marine Technology booth in the main corridor of the Expo Center.
