Boy Scouts hosting breakfast

From Staff Reports

The Inland Northwest Council Boy Scouts of America will host the annual Leadership Breakfast on Feb. 27 at the Spokane Convention Center, in the main ballroom at 7:30 a.m. The breakfast is the kickoff for the 2009 fundraising campaign, known as Friends of Scouting.

The guest speaker at this year’s breakfast will be former Army Ranger Keni Thomas. Thomas is also a motivational speaker, country music singer, songwriter and military analyst.

The movie “Blackhawk Down” is based on his Army Company’s mission in Mogadishu, Somalia.

Thomas has opened for country musicians Keith Urban, Wynonna, Phil Vassar, Trace Adkins and Brad Paisley, and has also been featured in the movie “Sweet Home Alabama.”

The breakfast is free and open to the public. Pledges and contributions are appreciated.
