LCHS craft show fundraiser for seniors

Lake City High School seniors are planning one heck of a Senior All-Nighter.

Seniors raise funds all year, but March is the month for fun events that will add to the needed cash for the celebration come graduation day.

Vendors are needed for the seventh annual Spring Craft and Garden Show on March 14. The show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the LCHS gym and commons. Deadline for all vendors is March 1.

Seniors also can participate in the craft show and earn raffle tickets for prizes to be won at the graduation night party. LCHS seniors can donate baked goods to the craft fair, earning five extra raffle tickets for each donation of one dozen baked treats. Whole pies and cakes also qualify for five tickets each.

Students should check in at the high school office for registration forms and more information.

The senior boys are doing their part, too. On March 10 in Lake City’s second annual Spike-n-Stuff. The fundraiser is the boys version of the girls “Powder Puff.”

From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., eight teams of LCHS boys will battle it out on the volleyball court to raise funds for their final bash as seniors.

The entry fee is $5 per player. Forms are available. Proceeds from the Spike-n-Stuff will benefit the 2009 senior class parent group.

Post Falls Middle School Career Day

Post Falls Middle School students can start thinking a bit more about their future on Wednesday at the school’s annual Career Day.

Beginning at 8 a.m., 30 professionals will be on hand to answer questions about chosen careers. The speakers will be at the school until 10:15 a.m.
