Burglar steals wheels in theft

A Spokane Valley business was paid a return visit this week by a burglar who again entered by breaking through an exterior wall.

An employee of Greenacres Motors, 18111 E. Appleway Ave., showed Officer Richard Johnson where a suspect gained entry Monday night or Tuesday morning, said Spokane Valley Police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.

Once inside the business, the suspect entered a small storage room and took three or four sets of aluminum wheels. The employee suspected the wheels would be sold as scrap metal.

The suspect also took a drawer containing about 50 faceplates for various automobile stereo components.

The thief left behind a set of bolt cutters which Johnson seized for fingerprint examination.

Anyone with information about this or any prior break-in at Greenacres Motors is encouraged to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
