Eagle solicits support

The Spokesman-Review

I am a football player at Eastern Washington University. As you may know, our team has been hit with some very serious sanctions and penalties that cannot be blamed on current student-athletes.

This letter is being written to ask for the help of The Spokesman-Review and the people of Spokane to see that our postseason dreams are not taken away from our team and the seniors. I am a senior and it hurts to have that taken away. We feel we have a great team and a shot to go far this season and be very successful.

I ask that the people of Spokane support our games and give us the best turnout possible to make this season the best possible for the seniors. Even if the playoffs do become possible, we still ask for the support of the football fans of the Spokane area to make the football atmosphere of the area like no other anywhere.
