Prep wrestlers step up at Mat Classic
Thu., Feb. 26, 2009
Brandon Moseley lost his first match in his final State 2A high school wrestling tournament during Mat Classic XXI during the weekend.
But the Cheney senior came all the way through the “back door,” winning five straight times to place third.
Moseley won twice by pin and decision to earn a rematch against Andrew McKibben of Granite Falls, who beat him 5-4 in the first round. Moseley returned the favor with a 5-4 decision to avenge his initial loss.
Liberty senior Josh Strohl reached the finals at 285 in State B, taking second.
