Lakeland seniors plan luau to raise funds for party

Graduating class also holding silent, live auctions

Lakeland High School seniors are raising funds for their all-nighter graduation party – with another party.

On March 14 the graduating class will hold silent and live auctions and a luau in the high school commons. Dinner and the silent auction begin at 5 p.m. and include dessert. The live auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. Participants will have to join the “island” festivities to find out if the evening will include the traditional roasted pig and leis.

Tickets to the luau are $9 per person.

For more information call Teck at 640-1660 or Carrie at 640-6006.

Holy Family auction, dinner

Holy Family Catholic School will host its 13th annual The Believe … in Miracle’s auction on March 14 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:45.

The auction is a fundraiser for the school and will support next year’s budget.

Items included in the auction are a seven-night stay at Disney World, a seven-night stay in Mexico, a local helicopter ride, and a private basketball camp with Gonzaga University women’s coach Kelly Graves. The auction includes more than 30 live items and 100 silent items.

Coeur d’Alene Resort chef’s will prepare dinner featuring filet top sirloin, and macadamia nut crusted rockfish with parmesan baby baked potatoes and steamed vegetables for the school’s fundraising event.

Tickets are $50 per person.

Call Holy Family Catholic School at 765-4327 to purchase tickets and for more information.
