Skier found dead at Mt. Spokane

A man was found dead of apparently natural causes Saturday at the Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park. Another skier found an unconscious “older gentleman” in the area of Lost Woods on the Chair One side of the mountain, said marketing director Kristin Whitaker. The man showed no evidence of “impact or trauma,” Whitaker said. “It probably natural causes. Ski Patrol made a valiant effort to revive him. They were not successful.” Med Star was launched but the man was not able to be revived. The man has been identified but his name is not being released until his family is notified, Whitaker said.
