Post Falls wins in Seattle

Justin Carter had 12 points and Shawn Reid had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Post Falls Trojans to a 55-42 non-league victory over the West Seattle Wildcats at Seattle.

The teams were tied at 23-23 at halftime before the Trojans (6-0) took control in the third quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 19-8 in the period for a 42-31 lead.

Medical Lake 59, Kellogg 55: Brendan Greene scored 15 points and the Cardinals (3-2) hit 6 of 8 fourth-quarter free throws to hold off the host Wildcats (4-2).

ML’s Ray Erwin added 12 points. Kyle Kenser had 21 points and Brad Osterberg 12 for Kellogg.

Cusick 61, Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy 48: Spencer Shanholtzer hit five 3-pointers on his way to 21 points to lead Cusick (7-0) past CdA Charter (3-3) in a battle of Panthers.

Tyler Edwards added 19 points and Riley Bauer 10 for Cusick.

Bob Schrack had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Charter. Mike Mitchell added 12 points and Rory Ruskovich 11.
