Police seek help in OxyContin theft

Spokane police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a Walgreen’s pharmacy robbery.

The man is in his 20s, said Spokane police Officer Jennifer DeRuwe. He is described as 5-feet-10 with a thin build, blue eyes and dark hair.

The man entered the Walgreen’s at 2839 Grand Blvd. about 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said. He threatened the pharmacists with a knife, demanded OxyContin and fled after receiving an unspecified amount.

Anyone with information is asked to call (509) 242-8477.

Suspect sought on felony charges

The Springdale Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a 19-year-old man wanted on suspicion of multiple felonies.

Lazarous Douglas Zakariah Lane is believed to be living with his girlfriend and daughter in northeast Spokane, said Springfield police Officer J.B. Muzatko. Springdale is about 45 miles north of Spokane.

Lane is wanted on suspicion felony threats to kill, second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, manufacturing marijuana and escape from community custody.

He fled from Stevens County after he was released from jail on a furlough to see his daughter’s birth, Muzatko said.
