Smokey is a young guy who was picked up running around on his own. Plain looking black dogs are often overlooked at the shelter, but Smokey is so special he was put in a training program to help him get adopted. He is learning basic obedience commands like sit, come, stay and loose leash walking taught by volunteer dog trainers at SCRAPS. He is a wonderful student and trying hard to learn it all. If you are looking for a fun-loving dog who also has manners, come and meet Smokey at Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Services, 2521 N. Flora Road, or contact Karen at (509) 981-8895.

The adoption fee is $125.00. Other dogs and cats can be seen at www.spokanecounty.org/animal.
