Man survives fall into Interstate 90 traffic

The Washington State Patrol had to close two lanes of eastbound Interstate 90 for several hours this morning after a man jumped or fell from the Argonne Road overpass. After 23-year-old Nicholas P. Youngman fell, he was struck by a 2001 Toyota Camry driven by 46-year-old Kelly J. Hannah of Clancy, Mont. Youngman, of Spokane, was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Emergency responders were unable to determine whether the man fell or jumped, a dispatcher said. The original call came in at 4:12 a.m. and the roadway wasn’t clear again until about 6:45, the dispatcher said.
