North Side in brief: Sheriff’s detectives seize pot in raid

Sheriff’s detectives raided a north Spokane County home early Wednesday and seized nearly 50 marijuana plants being grown inside.

Arrested were 22-year-old Kamron S. Hynes and 24-year-old Jeremy James Harris. Both men were booked into the Spokane County Jail on felony counts of manufacturing a controlled substance.

A spokesman said the double-wide manufactured home held 48 plants, 13 of which were 4 feet tall, adult and budding. Detectives also recovered about a quarter of a pound of harvested marijuana.

The home at 37311 N. West Branch Road is reportedly owned by one of the suspects’ grandmother, who now lives in California.
