Zags appreciated

The Spokesman-Review

Concerning the (recent) negative letters written about the Zags: Fellows, you had the right to your negative opinions. You also have the right not to watch the Zags’ games that give so many of us so much pleasure.

You are so off base about the Zags that my husband wonders if you have them confused with some junior college. You must be aware of the tough schedule the Zags played pre-WCC. Well, what do you know – the Sweet 16.

We attended the last two Gonzaga basketball banquets and had the pleasure of meeting and talking to many of the players. This great-grandmother received hugs as pictures were taken. What a treasured time this was for us.

Meeting and talking to these young men you see how special they are. If some do not go further in basketball after they graduate, they will still make an impact somewhere.

Go Zags and God bless.

Bobby and George Stevens
