“The Bob and Tom Show” has returned to local airwaves.

The popular nationally syndicated morning radio show co-hosted by Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold re-appeared on April 30, and will now be heard from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. weekdays on 105.7FM The Peak/KZBD.

“Our great listeners have spoken, and we heard,” said Operations Manager Mike Skot. “Bringing back Bob & Tom will make many locals very happy. ‘The Bob & Tom Show’ brings a keen sense of humor and connection with our listeners that are ideal for 105.7FM The Peak.”

The popular morning show, already heard on over 150 radio stations across America, has proven to be a major success as it now approaches 10 years in syndication.

Kevoian and Griswold began as morning show personalities in 1983 and their show went into syndication in 1995.

The show’s mix of humor and comedy involving the day’s news, sports and topical lifestyle issues, has been the platform for their success. Bob & Tom are joined by a cast that includes an arsenal of dozens of participants and writers, many decidedly politically incorrect friends.

The show is presented in an unpredictable, irreverent group atmosphere that listeners can identify with, belong to and talk about every day.

Along with a large group of listeners across the nation, the program has won an unprecedented five Marconi Awards from the National Association of Broadcasters, seven consecutive Billboard Awards, recognizing them as Personalities of the Year, and 11 Radio & Records Awards identifying them as Classic Rock Personalities of the Year. The duo and the program’s staff are also known for their charity work, releasing over 40 comedy album projects in just over 15 years, generating millions of dollars which has gone toward various charities nationwide.

Ron Hren, VP/Market Manager for 105.7FM The Peak, said everyone involved is excited to have the show return.

“Bob and Tom have already proven that their humor has been wildly popular with Spokane listeners, generating some of the highest morning show ratings in years past,” Hren said. “It’s a great complement to all of the programming talent at Radio Spokane.”

105.7FM The Peak/KZBD is owned by Radio Spokane which also owns and operates 93.7FM The Cat/KDRK, 101.1FM Rock & Roll’s Greatest Hits, 103.9 BOB-FM 80’s, 90’s, Whatever, Everything Sports 1510AM KGA, News & Talk 790AM KJRB, and AM1050 The KEY America’s Best Music.
