BUTTE – Authorities have identified a former Butte man who died in a weekend crash on Lookout Pass as 37-year-old Dane Shea.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Shea, of Spokane, was westbound on Interstate 90 when his car hit a moose just before 10 p.m. Saturday. The patrol says Shea was killed on impact, and a passenger, who was not identified, was injured.

Shea lived in Washington state for the past 10 years and worked as a mechanic and appraiser.
