Bank robbed in Spokane Valley

A man robbed a bank in Spokane Valley this afternoon. Employees at American West bank, 15606 E. Sprague Ave., said a man with shaggy blond hair demanded money about 2:10 p.m. and ran south through the parking lot, then eastbound with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Sgt. Dave Reagan of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. The man did not display a weapon. Witnesses think he drove away in a black or purple Suzuki Vitara with the personalized plate PC. “As in, ‘probable cause,’” Reagan said. The man was about 5 foot 8 and wore a blue coat and blue jeans, witnesses said. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
