In brief: Congregation hosting Advent dinners

SPOKANE VALLEY – Spokane Valley United Methodist Church will host Advent dinners in the weeks before Christmas. The dinners will begin at 5 p.m. every Sunday through Dec. 13 at the church, 115 N. Raymond Road.

A short worship service and program will follow each meal. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by calling the church office at (509) 924-7262.

Donate toys to get upgrades on new home

SPOKANE VALLEY/AIRWAY HEIGHTS – Hayden Homes, a Northwest homebuilder, has partnered with Toys for Tots to help provide Christmas presents to children in need.

Members of the community can donate new, unwrapped toys at the new Hayden Homes communities, Sunset Crossing in Airway Heights, and Valley Springs in Spokane Valley.

Hayden Homes is offering homebuyers $500 in upgrades toward the purchase of a new Hayden Home for every toy brought in during this season’s Toys for Tots drive.

Spring soccer season registration open

SPOKANE VALLEY – Registration for the Spokane Valley Youth Soccer League spring 2010 season is under way. The league is for children ages 4 to 14.
