New faces

Amy Swinhoe has been hired as an associate attorney for McNeice Law Office, PLLC. Her practice areas include business law, estate planning and general civil litigation. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law.

Mary Schultz Law P.S. has hired Kirsten Elliott as an associate attorney practicing primarily in the areas of employment discrimination and employment rights. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona and Gonzaga University School of Law and completed a two year clerkship working for the Honorable Teresa Kulik at Washington State’s Division III Court of Appeals.

Shawna Sampson has been hired as development director for SpokAnimal. She has previously worked for several nonprofit organizations in the Spokane area.

Moloney O’Neill has hired Adam Griffith as a sales executive for the company’s Commercial Insurance Division. He previously worked for Progressive Insurance for six years and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.

Dr. Tommy Le has been hired by Group Health Permanente in the practice of family medicine. Dr. Le is a graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University and completed his internship and residency at Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton.

Rockwood Clinic, P.S., has hired Dr. Dirk Sypherd in the practice of urology. He is a graduate of St. Louis University and completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Ruth Stainbrook has been hired by IMRS Faculty Hospitalist (Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center) in the practice of internal medicine. She is a graduate of the International University of the Health Sciences and completed her internship and residency at Internal Medicine Residency Spokane.

New position

Great Floors has named Heath Byers manager of the company’s North Spokane Showroom. He previously worked as assistant manager for the Coeur d’Alene store and has been with the company since 2007.

Promotions

Sharon Forsyth and Dane Hodge have been promoted from Staff B to Staff A for McDirmid, Mikkelsen and Secrest, P.S.

Elected

The following individuals have been elected as new board members for the Spokane Guilds’ School and Neuromuscular Center: secretary, Debbie Ogan of Sterling Savings Bank; community representative, Ryan Kile of Northwest Farm Credit Services; and parent representative, Shaun Flanigan of Guild Mortgage.

Appointed

Paul Dircksen has been appointed as executive chairman of the board for Timberline Resources Corporation. He will also continue to serve as vice president of exploration for the company.

New business location

Linda Bussard of Sole Sessions Reflexology and Altari Sunra Peterson of Altari’s Acupressure have moved their businesses to 307 W. Francis Ave. and will offer Yoga and Tai Chi classes. Bussard is a certified reflexologist and a certified Radiant Health Yoga Instructor. Peterson has taught Yoga and Tai Chi since 1987, is an Oriental Healing Arts Specialist and holds a master’s degree in Holistic Health Education.
