St. George’s students earn AP honors

Thirty-two students from St. George’s School were recently recognized for their academic achievements after completing college-level Advanced Placement Program Exams during the school year through last May. The 32 students were recognized in four different categories.

Students named as National AP Scholars include Brooke Berger, Colleen Culbertson, Hayden Heftel, Britton Stamper, and Russell Wagstaff, all 2009 graduates, and senior Matei Alexianu. Students recognized as National AP Scholars receive an average grade of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and also receive grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of the exams.

Students earning AP Scholars with Distinction are 2009 graduates Michael Cambareri, Mark Cassell, Laurel Fish, Vimal Vaderah and Ashley VanCurler; and senior Richard Caulkins. AP Scholars with Distinction score an average grade of least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, with grades of 3 or higher on five or more of the exams.

Students named AP Scholars with Honor are 2009 graduate Melissa Coleman and seniors Sullivan Blake, Carson Grubb, Austin Henderson, Charlotte Holt, Brandon Johnson, Howard Lee, Elizabeth McQuade, Ibrahim Peker and Ashlin Sturbaum. These students were recognized for receiving an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams.

The AP Scholars include 2009 graduates Connor Deife, Anna Eilertsen, Grant Evans, Spencer Mermel and Hadley Morrow; and seniors Francesca Andronic, Caroline Emberton, Travis Galloway, Elizabeth Lee and Molly O’Brien. The AP Scholar honors students who receive grades of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.
