Spokane-based mining firm posts a loss
Mines Management Inc., a company working to develop a copper-silver mine in Montana, reported a net loss of $9.4 million last year.
The results, released this week, compared to a net loss of $10.8 million in 2008.
The Spokane-based company submitted the Montanore mine’s draft environmental impact statement to the U.S. Forest Service last year. Officials said exploration drilling continues at the proposed mine site in northwest Montana. They’re also working on the project’s financing.
